Visionary Leadership
Built on Relationships & Reliability
Using relationships established through his existing commodity business, Heath began serving feedyards and dairies throughout the region, supplying crushed caliche for facility expansions and heavy-use infrastructure. Rather than simply supplying material, Heath worked closely with customers to understand their operational demands—delivering consistent, reliable products that stood up to extreme conditions and tight construction schedules.
Starting from the Ground Up
Shortly before his 31st birthday, Heath founded DC Caliche LLC, entering the mining and aggregate industry with no family history or generational background in mining. What he did possess was a keen ability to identify unmet market needs and the determination to build solutions from the ground up. Heath recognized a critical demand in the Texas Panhandle for high-quality crushed caliche to support large-scale agricultural and infrastructure development.
Strategic Growth & Expansion
As DC Caliche grew, Heath took a proactive approach to resource development. He worked directly with local landowners to secure land leases in areas with strong caliche potential, creating long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships that ensured material availability while supporting rural landowners. This strategic foresight allowed DC Caliche to scale responsibly and sustainably as demand increased.
Leadership & Growth
From the earliest days, Heath remained deeply hands-on and opportunity-driven. He traveled extensively to pursue work, often operating far from home while continuing to manage DC Caliche’s flagship crusher in Canyon, Texas. A defining milestone in his career came when his team was selected to work on Atlas Energy Solutions’ Dune Express project in Kermit, Texas—the largest frac sand conveyor system in the United States. This project demonstrated Heath’s ability to manage complex, high-profile operations on a national scale while maintaining production excellence at home.
Over the years, DC Caliche has grown into an operation running five crushers, a testament to Heath’s disciplined expansion strategy and operational leadership. Despite not growing up in the mining industry, Heath has carved out a distinct niche by focusing on exceptional service, product quality, and long-term customer relationships.
People & Performance
One of Heath Reinert’s most notable accomplishments is the team he built from the ground up. His leadership team and lead operators did not come from traditional mining backgrounds. Many grew up alongside Heath in his hometown of Holly, Colorado, and followed him into the business. Under Heath’s mentorship, they immersed themselves in learning the aggregates
industry—developing into skilled leaders, operators, and managers. This commitment to people development has created a culture of loyalty, accountability, and pride that defines DC Caliche today.
Under Heath’s leadership, DC Caliche has contributed to major national and regional infrastructure projects, including Fermi America, numerous data centers, solar energy developments, Xcel Energy substations, and critical transportation corridors such as Interstate 27 and Loop 335 around Amarillo, Texas. These projects reflect the trust placed in Heath and his team to deliver consistent quality, reliability, and performance at scale.
